About Us

Hi! I’m Cara the creator, designer, maker, packer, photographer, admin and marketer of Maisie&Murphy.

 Based on the outskirts of Glasgow, Maisie&Murphy began in late 2016 out of the grief I felt when we my forever puppy Maisie sadly passed away. Also having studied as a primary teacher I knew this career path was not for me. After struggling for some time with career aspirations I decided to do some Christmas fairs selling doggy bow ties, pet portraits and tote bags and mugs with my designs on them and from there Maisie&Murphy was created. Named of course after my two Kerry blue terriers (as you can see from our logo). Maisie and Murphy are sadly no longer with us but having their name attached to the pieces we send out feels like their memory is kept alive.

I create unique, fun and quirky animal designs and embroider on to sweatshirts, t-shirts and totes. I also do pet portraits and custom items and feel so privileged when you trust me to draw your pets! I combined my interests (animals and drawing) to create something I love and could wear or use myself and it turns out you lot love it too ❤️

I could never have dreamed that it would snowball into me having my own business and have so many people actually want to buy products with my drawings on them. Everything is made to order from my home studio with my sidekick Luna by my side. My husband Johnnie also helps out during busy periods.
